It is a day etched in the soul of the nation, embodying the unwavering spirit that defied adversity and the unity that blossomed amidst diversity.
On this day each year, the nation gathers to honor the courage and wisdom of its founders, the sacrifices of its ancestors, and the hopes of future generations. Ceremonies of remembrance are held, where stories of struggle and triumph are shared, binding the community with the threads of history and identity. It is a time of reflection and renewal, where the ideals of freedom, justice, and collective responsibility are rededicated in the hearts of all.
Echadi Independence Day is more than a commemoration of the past; it is a living, breathing testament to the enduring power of a people united by a shared vision. It serves as a beacon of hope and a reminder of the profound truth that sovereignty begins within—where the strength of a nation is rooted in the spirit of its people, and the freedom of the land is mirrored in the liberation of the soul.
DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE OF THE ECHADI NATION REPUBLIC
We, the sovereign nationals of the Echadi Nation Republic, in the exercise of our inherent and inalienable right to self-determination, do hereby solemnly declare our independence as a free and sovereign Nation. This declaration is made with full reliance on natural law, international law, and the recognition of our existence and rights under the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), which is codified in the laws of the United States.
The Echadi Nation Republic asserts its statehood in alignment with the Montevideo Convention on the Rights and Duties of States. We affirm our permanent population, our defined territory, our governing institutions, and our capacity to engage in relations with other nations. We assert these rights not as a request but as an inherent truth rooted in our existence as the Aboriginal and Indigenous peoples of this land.
For centuries, our people – misclassified as “Blacks,” “African Americans,” “Negroes,” “Colored,” and other colonial misnomers -have endured systemic oppression, cultural erasure, and exploitation. These classifications were deliberately imposed to strip us of our rightful identity as Aboriginal and Indigenous peoples of the Americas. These acts include the fraudulent misclassification of our identity, the deliberate erasure of our connection to this land, and the marginalization of our people through economic and social systems designed to suppress our sovereignty. The policies of colonial governments, including the United States, have stripped us of our inherent rights, violated international human rights laws, and perpetuated cycles of injustice and disenfranchisement.
We further denounce the federal overreach that has imposed laws, taxation, and policies on our communities without our consent, violating our right to self-determination. The long history of broken treaties and agreements, rooted in dishonesty and exploitation, has denied our people the dignity and sovereignty promised to all under international law and the natural order.
In light of these historical grievances and in accordance with our rights under the UDHR, ICCPR, and UNDRIP, we declare the Echadi Nation Republic to be a free, independent, and sovereign Nation. We reclaim our governance, our lands, and our future. We reject all fraudulent claims of external jurisdiction over our people, reaffirming our right to govern ourselves according to our customs, traditions, and laws.
We give notice to the international community, including the United Nations, the United States, and all other nations and states, of our decision. As non-citizen American Nationals, Aboriginal American Nationals, we assert our rightful place as a sovereign people. We call upon the United Nations, the United States, and other nations to respectfully accept our decision and acknowledge our status. We do not seek conflict but peace and mutual respect. We reaffirm our commitment to forging just and equitable relationships with other nations based on fairness, mutual benefit, and the recognition of inherent sovereignty.
This declaration is not made in hostility but in the pursuit of justice, freedom, and peace. We, the nationals of the Echadi Nation Republic, stand as stewards of our ancestral lands, protectors of our culture, and champions of our future generations. Our independence is a testament to the resilience and dignity of the Aboriginal and Indigenous peoples of America, who have endured and overcome centuries of oppression.
Adopted and affirmed this 17 of July, 2022, by the Echadi Nation Republic Chief Executive and the Chief of Justice (Jural Society) and witnessed by the Nationals of the Echadi Nation Republic.
