Section 1

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Echadi Nation Republic website collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only. Last updated: October 21, 2026.

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site. We do not sell personal information.

Section 2

Information we collect

You do not need an account to use this website. The information involved is limited to:

  • Event registrations. When you register for an event, you type your email address. We store it with the event you chose, the time you registered and whether a confirmation email was sent.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting records technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the request. This is used for security, troubleshooting and basic statistics.
  • Correspondence. If you write to us by mail or email, we keep what you send so that we can reply.

Section 3

Event registrations

Your email is used only to register you for the event, to send you a confirmation (with the event details, a calendar file and a link to cancel), and for essential notices about that event. It is visible to the event organisers. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell or rent it.

You can cancel at any time using the link in your confirmation email; cancelling stops further messages for that event. You may also write to us (address below) to have your registration deleted.

Confirmation emails are sent through the mail server operated for this website. To limit abuse we also keep a short-lived, anonymised record of registration attempts per connection.

Section 4

Cookies and local storage

We use as little browser storage as possible:

  • Theme preference. If you choose the light or dark theme, your choice is saved in your browser (local storage) so it is remembered on your next visit. It is never sent to us.
  • Staff sign-in. Authorised administrators receive a session cookie and a security (CSRF) cookie. Ordinary visitors do not receive these.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Section 5

Third-party services

This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches them, Google receives your IP address and browser details under its own privacy policy. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Section 6

How we use information

We use the information above to operate and secure the website, to respond to correspondence, to understand how the site is used, and to meet legal obligations. We do not make automated decisions about you.

Section 7

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share it with service providers who host or secure the site on our behalf, and where disclosure is required by law or to protect the rights, safety or property of the Nation and its Nationals and Members.

Section 8

Retention and security

Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting. Correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request and for recordkeeping. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Section 9

Your choices

You can clear your browser storage at any time, which removes your saved theme preference. You may ask us what correspondence we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by writing to the address below.

Section 10

Children's privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Section 11

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
